Theme Thursday - Mirror

A man is a room.
There are no doors or windows.
The only things in the room (besides the man)
Are a table and a mirror.

How can he escape?

Simple.

He looks into the mirror

And sees what he saw.

With that saw he cuts the table in half.

Two halves make a whole.

So he climbs out the hole.

This story problem just popped into my head, I remember it from 7th grade algebra. Really, does that seem like a math lesson? Or logic? Hmmm, not sure if it was worth using gray matter all these many years – but there it was, waiting for just this moment in my life.

I like the whole thing, even the two halves making a hole. I missed that one when I was in seventh grade, a whole long time ago.

Isn't it amazing what can stick in that gray matter for years and then I can't remember what the main thing I went to the store was.

I'm amazed that you were able to pull that from 7th grade? Wow. I can't remember where I put my car keys yesterday...
:-)

Great puzzle. Love it.

"I see" said the blind man, as he picked up his hammer and saw.

Now you've started a chain reaction; your story reminded me of that one above that I learned in jr high...

Our minds are dustbins, truly. ;-)

Clever. Very clever. I don't remember that problem in algebra!

It's clever. It also seems more like an English problem with some logic thrown in.

Cool posting, better than the algebra I remember as a nightmare!
It makes about as much sense to me as math... but the image is amazing! -Jayne
