Me and grandma

I'm busily scanning family photos, a task that I've finally begun.

My grandmother was a school teacher so there are a number of school photos of her.

To my horror I look just like her. Change the hair color to dark brown and there I am. Accckkkkkkk.

haha...that is so funny! Before I read it, I was thinking that she looked like a school teacher! Too funny. I also look in the mirror with horror and see older women in our family looking back at me! I don't like it! hee!

She's perfectly lovely! I never thought of that - it would be nice to have a school teacher in a family, because you would have a clear portrait photo of them from every year of their professional lives!

Very nice photos. Sometimes, when I talk, what I hear is my mother's voice coming out of my mouth. It's quite eerie. :)

When someone points out a similarity between me and one of my relatives, I never really give it a second thought. But when I see the similarity myself, it's a different matter entirely.

There is so much character in that face. I bet she was an inspiring teacher. Thanks so much for sharing the photograph.

my mum was a school teacher - but didn't ever look (to me!) as stern as those first two pictures. I'm glad you have the 3rd as well with that lovely smile.

I'm also currently scanning old family photos - such a lovely dip back into time

I look more and more like certain members of my family--as if my features are coalescing as I age.

I think these are great! And I agree with Lettuce--the little smile in the third is just lovely.

Having been a teacher for 35 years I have a large collection of this young guy, becoming old.
